A huge thanks to my husband's brother and our sister-in-law for taking care of our sons who were severely impacted by the hurricane. Yesterday, J. was able to rescue our older son and his roommate. They had to walk out of Hoboken due to road closures. Alex was able to charge his phone thanks to a resident with power near 11th and Bloomfield who was sharing electricity with his neighbors - this generous act enabled our son to receive the phone call from his uncle leading him to safety.
Our younger son wisely drove to his aunt and uncle's on Sunday evening and avoided the brunt of the storm. His area is still without power. He doesn't know if his apartment is full of water or not.
